Pray that the Lord may open the eyes of the nations affected by coronavirus

We pray that the Lord may open the eyes of the nations and its people in the light of this epidemic as he said to Paul.

Acts 26:18 ESV ; to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’

and again

2 Kings 6:17 ESV
Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

We pray for the believers that

1) God may open their eyes to God’s protection against the evil by the shield of faith and the blood of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 6:16)

2) God may open our eyes to what is required of us, to the secrets of his kingdom and the glory of his coming.

3) God may pour out his spirit these days and reveal his will to his servants as he does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7).

4) God may heal all sicknesses among us, that we may be a light to the Gentiles, showing the way in the midst of darkness.

5) God may bless our churches and its people to  lead  as a  light of the world, in this time of trouble and to bring many out of darkness and poverty.

6) That we may humble ourselves with prayers and fasting, knowing fully that that it is the Lord who works and not us , to him belongs all the glory and praise with whom all things are possible and whose loving kindness and mercies are great(Judges 7:2, Judges 7:7, Psalm 36:7, Jeremiah 31:3, 2 Chronicles 7:14,Matthew 19:26)

We pray for the world that

1) God may open the eyes of the people, that they may turn from darkness and fear to the true light of the Lord, and experiencing healing and peace in the Lord, to develop immunity against the virus.

2) God may open the eyes towards his true worship and to break down all the idols of individuals and the nations and bless them to come to him in all purity.

3) God may open their eyes to the dilemma’s people, government, leaders face(whether to be near their loved ones who are sick health workers risk to their own loved ones etc), to provide them consolation at this time, and to be able to take the right decisions.

4) God may break the hearts of the proud and the unrepentant, that they may grow closer to God and to be born(again) in him.

5) God may lead the hearts of the nations to his love. (John 3:16).

6) God may open the eyes of the nations and its people’s heart to make itself ready for the Lord.

7) God may protect the leaders and the people from evil influences, conspiracies, rumors in this time of need. To be able to judge correctly and to know their right leaders and a true God.

8) God may open the eyes of those most affected by this situation, (lock down, panic etc) economically and physically(health wise), to be touched and protected by his saving and healing grace of the Lord, and by his Holy Spirit, that they may turn to him and be healed and saved .

We pray for our leaders that.

1) God may open the eyes of our leaders with wisdom and understanding, to respond correctly to this situation. To be able to lay down the right support, laws and rules, over any lock-down and to be able to cope with the fear and sorrow of the people.

2) God may open the eyes of our health institutions and health workers with wisdom and understanding, to respond correctly to this situation. To provide and discover the right treatment and to be able to provide the right reports and numbers, and  the right solutions.

Know that everything that the enemy does will turn to God’s glory by faith. Read about Joseph (Gen 50:20), and about all great men of God(Heb 11). May you be be covered by the shield of faith and the blood of Jesus. In the mighty name of Jesus.Amen

Some resources that might help.

Pray regularly for your nation or region as a church.

The Sample Prayer Request is given below.

Subject:- Bimonthly prayer request for India

Hi all,
Please pray for India, for its people and the government. Especially pray for the believers and the church, that the church may move in zeal towards its mission under any circumstance. As we see in the Old Testament , when people were under the king instituted for Israel and of Israel e.g King David ,and also not of Israel as the election of King Nebuchadnezzar to rule Jerusalem, the real unfolding of the plans of God came later as revealed in the book of Daniel.

Please pray that the believers may gather and pray for boldness in the Gospel, as was prayed by the church in the New Testament and may boldly proclaim the gospel (Acts 4:23-31). There be mighty prayer warriors and intercessors that come up and pray for the nation and its people. There may be someone, somewhere praying for the nation at all times.
– As Joseph whom God used to save his family from starvation.
– As Abraham who interceded for Sodom to save Lot. .
– As the psalmist who prays mighty prayers in moment of desperation.
– As Esther who interceded to save the nation from annihilation.
– As Paul who prayed for the church.
– As Gideon whom God used to battle the Midianites.
– As Nehemiah who built the broken walls, amidst crisis.

Please pray for India. We pray for the believers in India, that more and more people come to the Lord, be filled by the Holy spirit and find salvation. That the believers may be in fire to spread the gospel, and work towards the expansion in the Kingdom of God. That God may bring many out of poverty and distress and give them his peace by his Holy spirit. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields. (Matt 9:38).

That new churches may be established and as God used the Governments in the Scriptures for his plans, he may also use the government and the circumstances for his plans and purposes. Pray for eyes of the people of India may be opened to the Gospel. Also pray that the affairs of our country are governed by God’s mercy and justice, not by man’s will including our institutions, judiciary and the constitution.
Please keep in remembrance few facts from the book of Exodus when Israelites were in Egypt, in bondage, while praying for the church and also for the unsaved.
– God heard the cry of the Israelites when they were in bondage. Exo 3:9-10
– God judged Pharaoh the ruler and also Egypt for his hardness. Exo 7:3-5
– God judged the God’s of Egypt. Exo 12:12
– God brought the Israelites to the promised land. Exo 13:5
– God also promised to increase the Israelites over the Hivites, Canaanites and the Hittites with conditions. Exo 23:23-33
Amen

Also pray for any emergency situation that your nation may face as below.

Pray that the Lord may open the eyes of the nations affected by coronavirus

Are you a doer or a watcher in the Kingdom of God ?

Symbolism in the life of Gideon with the New Testament.

If we read the story of Gideon in the Old Testament, we see quite a few symbolism towards the New Testament and towards the Great Commission that God called us too.

Gideon sent messengers to call all the Israelites, into the battle against Midianites and the Amalekites and the people of the East who had encamped against them in the Valley of Jezreel (Judges 6:33-35). So also the Lord Jesus Christ called out to save us and entrusted us with the Great Commission.

Now how do we know we are doing God’s will and love him, this is specifically mentioned in the book of Matthew about the parable of the sheep and the goats (Matthew 25:31-46), where he will keep the sheep on the right and the goat on the left on the day of judgement. The sheep are the one who do the Lord’s will , one’s who feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome strangers, cloth the naked, visit the sick, or look to help those who are in prison. Being in prison also means in the prison of Satan and those who bring the Good News, look after them in this prison.

As in the case of story of Gideon only a few(300 men) remained to fight this battle as God chosen ones or doer’s, rest remained as watchers, separated out for 2 reasons.

1) Fear (Judges 7:3) people left because of fear and only 10,000 remained.
2) Putting their needs before the Kingdom of God . The second group was tested by Lord. as below.

And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people are still too many. Take them down to the water, and I will test them for you there, and anyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ shall go with you, and anyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ shall not go.” So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, “Every one who laps the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set by himself. Likewise, every one who kneels down to drink.” And the number of those who lapped, putting their hands to their mouths, was 300 men, but all the rest of the people knelt down to drink water. And the Lord said to Gideon, “With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home…(Judges 7:4-7)

Those who knelt down are those who bend down to their needs and the work for the Lord is secondary to them.

Those who lapped the water, are those who are focused on God’s kingdom, and lapped up the blessings as it came by. The important point here is that the men themselves didn’t know they were being tested showing that God knows the heart although we might have a different opinion about ourselves.

The “Valley of Jezreel” symbolizes the camp of Satan where the enemy has assembled, to work against the Kingdom of God. As in the days of Gideon we see that the enemy camp dream of a cake of barley which is very light and of no significance coming to the enemy camp and destroying it turning it upside down, so also today an insignificant thing as the “Word of God”which the world calls as foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:18) has the capability to come against the works of Satan for this world and the children of God.

When Gideon heard of his victory in the dream he does the following things.
1) He Worshipped God.
2) Returned to his camp.
3) Prepared his people for the battle.

He prepare the people in 2 ways (Judges 7:16).

1) Put trumpets in their hand to blow.
2) Gave them empty jars with torches inside those jars to break and the lights to shine forth.

Trumpets are instruments of proclamation of war, peace, urgency, joyfulness and are found both in Old and New testaments. In the New Testament we also are exhorted as ambassadors of God to blow the trumpet of the Good News to the sinful world.

The symbolism of jars are only found in the New Testament given by Paul as treasures in the jars of clay (2 Corinthians 4:7-9). In this story the men with Gideon broke the jars with the torches inside which exposed its light and brought confusion to the Satan’s Army, and they started annihilating each other. So also we are exhorted to break open the jars of the Treasures of the “Word of God” within our heart which shall overcome the Satanic rule and his realm over the children of God(Judges 7:19-22). While doing this the men cried “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” (Judges 7:20), though there was no sword here but a supernatural help from God, which destroyed the enemies.

So to conclude we should be doers rather than watchers in the Kingdom of God.

Great Commission in Local Languages(How) | Go ye therefore, and teach all nations

Sermons on the books of the bible | Go ye therefore, and teach all nations

================================================== ===================
This was posted to the churches in Pakistan.
Dear Believers of churches in Pakistan,
Greetings in the precious name of our Good Lord Jesus Christ. I believe many of you know Hindi. There is a site for different sermons of the different books on the bible in Hindi, as given below.
parmeshwarkavachan.wordpress.com
This is freely available and can be readily , used for telling about Jesus as written in the scriptures to our non-Christian friends, and to prepare for the Word of God in the church.
It would have been better if we could work towards a site for sermons on the different books of the bible for middle eastern languages, e.g. Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Berber, Kurdish, Urdu.

I believe and hope that God will work towards bringing the gospel to the world, and specially to the middle-eastern nations.
Thanks and Regards
A believer in Christ.
================================================== ==========
What are other things can we do to bring the gospel to the world, and specially to the middle-eastern nations.
1) To bring messages from the books of the bible, through all forms of communication e.g. Radio/Television/Satellite/Internet.
2) To help persecuted Christians, praying for them, reaching out to them, through letters, cards and other means of communication, empowering them, to support other persecuted Christians.

Thank you dear believer for sharing this with us.
I have forwarded it on to our believers in Pakistan and other nations, and we join with you in praying for the establishment of a site in the languages of the Middle East and for God to open up any ways for the gospel to penetrate these nations.
Yours in His service,

Romans 10:15 [Full Chapter]

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.

We can plan daily/weekly/monthly outreach for a city as a church or individual using existing transport, as the leading from the Lord comes.

This was done for Delhi in India where transportation by Metro rail is common.

Please find the links to the Delhi outreach metro map below.

The map is divided into 7 areas for Delhi(using pizza crust division). The plan is to reach on the outskirts of Delhi via metro. Use small battery driven vehicles to reach small towns and villages and distribute scripture materials(bibles, tracts, Scripture Media i.e DVD’s etc) in schools colleges hospitals and streets if possible. Each trip we can reach a different area or reach another area when a region is completed.

Matthew 5:11-12
“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Luke 14;23
And the master said to the servant, ‘Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.

Pray that our nations may not become like Sodom and Gomorrah.

In Genesis chapters 18 and 19, the people of Sodom were so wicked that God could no longer tolerate them. He destroyed the city of Sodom by raining fire and brimstone down upon it. The prominent sin that earmarked the city of Sodom was homosexuality. As a result, the sin of homosexuality became known as sodomy, which is still true to this very day.

What was the sin for Sodom and Gomorrah?

It can be seen in Jude 1:7

Jude 1:7 And don’t forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God’s judgment.

The sexual sins that are an abomination to the Lord, for which Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed can be seen in Leviticus 18. They include.

1) Homosexuality.
2) Incest.
3) Sexual relations with animal.
4) Child sacrifice to demons.
5) Any unlawful sexual relations outside of marriage.

God specifically warns what will happen of the nations that practice it(It shall vomit out its inhabitants) in Leviticus 18:24-29

“‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
29 Everyone who does any of these detestable things—such persons must be cut off from their people. 30 Keep my requirements and do not follow any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you came and do not defile yourselves with them. I am the Lord your God.’”

God’s condemnation of homosexuality is abundantly clear–He opposes it in every age.

– In the patriarchs (Genesis 19:1-28)

– In the Law of Moses (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13)

– In the Prophets (Ezekiel 16:46-50)

– In the New Testament (Romans 1:18-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Jude 7-8)

Why does God condemn homosexuality? Because it overturns God’s fundamental design for human relationships–a design that pictures the complementary relationship between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:18-25; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:22-33).

There are unjust judges in ancient as well as in modern times, who frame laws against God, favouring sexual immorality. The judgement of these judges are given in Isaiah 10:1-4

Isaiah 10:1-4: Woe to those who enact evil statutes And to those who constantly record [a]unjust decisions, 2 So as to [b]deprive the needy of justice  And rob the poor of My people of their rights,
So that widows may be their spoil And that they may plunder the [c]orphans.
3 Now what will you do in the day of punishment, And in the devastation which will come from afar?
To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your [d]wealth?
4 Nothing remains but to crouch [e]among the captives Or fall [f]among the slain.
In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out.

We are to pray constantly for the nation that has fallen into sin, so that it may not face the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah and is not vomited out. In prayer we have to bind all the forces that are against the nation, and the unjust judges.

James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

Matthew 18:18 “Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.

Stay in the Word of God.

Once a believer told me that one of the strategies that devil employs to keep the believers from spiritual growth is to keep them away from the Word of God.

I have been reading the bible for quite a while and completed the whole bible once and now rereading it. You can read the bible as the Spirit of God conveys to you.

The pattern which I follow everyday is

1) Read about the crucifixion of Christ. Matthew Mark Luke(Last 3 chapters), John Last 4 chapters. To focus on the cross of Christ.

2) Read 3 Chapters from old testament or new testament, on consecutive days, one day old testament next day new testament.

3) Read one random psalm, for hope and deliverance.

Below is the reading pattern for the last few days(I repeat it once or twice a day).

Matt 28 Rom 9 Ps 20
Mark 16 Deu 3 Ps 127
Luke 24 Rom 12 Ps 29
John 21 Deu 6 Ps 137
Matt 28 Rom 15 Ps 35
Mark 16 Deu 9 Ps 136
Luke 24 Rom 16 Ps 31
John 21 Deu 12 Ps 94
Matt 28 1 Cor 3 Ps 9
Mark 16 Deu 15 Ps 107
Luke 24 1 Cor 6 Ps 44
John 21 Deu 18 Ps 89
Matt 28 1 Cor 9 Ps 55
Mark 16 Deu 21 Ps 132
Luke 24 1 Cor 12 Ps 14
John 21 Deu 24 Ps 131
Matt 28 1 Cor 15 Ps 15
Mark 16 Deu 27 Ps 87
Luke 24 1 Cor 16 Ps 12
John 21 Deu 30 Ps 101
Matt 28 2 Cor 3 Ps 17
Mark 16 Deu 33 Ps 105

To get closer to the will of God. It is better we also understand the Word of God (Read parable of the sower Matthew Ch 13 specifically Matt 13:13-14 and Matt 13:19. There may be multiple ways of doing this but one of the ways is to write down important verses and meditate on it.

Also if you have prayers which are very close to you (such as salvation of your loved ones) and you are trying to find answers. Write not more than 10 of these prayer request points and meditate on this requests daily, until an answer comes. Make sure or ask God for Wisdom that your requests are in the will of God (James 1:5, James 4:1-3)

If you are facing trials you can ask God for wisdom and also pen down your thoughts an example of this is in the site below.

https://hopeingodthroughtrials.home.blog

Seek God and his grace and truth at this time. As it is written in John 1:17

John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Even the bible was written by the disciples and prophets(inspired by God) who were facing persecutions, and were almost eliminated, but the Bible(God’s Word) remained.

Pray for revival of churches in Turkey and binding of all strongholds of Satan.

Joshua march(Jericho Prayer) through the places in Turkey.

Let us plan to have a march of Joshua March (relying only on God, not in our own strength), through Turkey, and dedicate the nation into the hands of the Lord. The march will be for 6 days one time through each of the places of importance(you may start at any day), in silence through prayer, and in the 7th day, 7 times , through each of the places, Proclaiming what God has revealed to us, at the end of it and to ask God.

1) To pull down walls of hostility, towards the Word of God.

2) That the gospel may reach and be accepted in every nook and corner of every household, and individuals, and people may be saved in Jesus Christ.

3) That the people and the rulers may work for the furtherance of the gospel, and the values of the kingdom of God.
Turkey is an important place for binding the strongholds of Satan.

1) All the seven churches mentioned in the book of revelation are in Turkey.

2) Many of the early churches and disciples including the missionary journeys of Paul, were started in Turkey.

3) The first king to convert to Christianity was the king of Turkey(Abgar V of Edessa), earlier known as Edessa.

Joshua march through the nations

???????????????????

We can have this common prayer for the states.

1 Timothy 2:1-4

King James Version (KJV)

2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Acts 26:18
King James Version (KJV)

18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Revelation 21:23-24

King James Version (KJV)

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

North India ,Middle East and the persecuted nations.

1) That the gospel may reach and be accepted in every nook and corner of every household. In every village, cities and towns in North India, and people may be saved in Jesus Christ.
2) New believers who are coming to the Lord may find fellowship and answers in time of need easily.
3) There be an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and people may be attracted to the Lord, and strive to follow his path.
4) Whole families, communities may come to the Lord, so that there is unity in faith.
5) That the Lord God may bless and speed up the distribution , safe-keeping of bibles and evangelical materials, and also it may reach the appropriate and best places. And also bibles which are left unattended may be found by those hungry for the word, and there may be a great harvest.
6) That the people of God and new believers may live the principle and spirit of the Scriptures, and be a light that shines in the darkness to the people around them.
7) That the believers may have unity and support and each other at all times. Especially in times of persecution and during difficult choices to make.

Middle East

1) Pray that the place where Jesus was born, and where God has chosen the people(The Jews) to reveal his plans to the World(Bible lands) (Romans 3:2), may come out of the persecution that the believers and Jews are facing in these lands.
2) That these lands may once again be fruitful in the Lord, destroying the plans of the devil.
3) That believers and people of God may be free to Worship, to go on pilgrimage, and to fulfill their vows in these lands.
4) That the whole of middle east becomes God’s inheritance (Isaiah 19:25).
5) That all of Israel be saved. (Romans 11:26)
